In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael's early career has allowed her to meet and work with Australia's top storytellers. Yael leads a highly successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of the Music's production of the play was a critical success. Yael is the co-founder of The Cannery. Based in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the company supports new writing and imaginative, inventive ventures.
